The History Behind Derrae Boxers

Derrae Boxers got its beginning in the beautiful eyes of a brindle boxer we named Zephyr. Her sire was a champion and we were encouraged by his owners to join the local boxer club. Derrae Boxers owes its existance to her. Soon we bought our second boxer, Windy Hill's Foxy Lady. Lady was a plain fawn bitch, she was bred by a couple in conneticut. Her pedigree went back to Trefoil Boxers. Trefoil Boxers is owned by David and Stephanie Abraham. They are both judges and have written books on the boxer breed. They encouraged us to show and breed lady. Our first champion came via California and Merrilane Kennels. C.H. Merrilanes Derrae Lazer Beam, Lazer for short.he wasamazing. he finished his championship before he was two. Along the way he won a five point major and was winners dog at a boxer specialty show. He was the best. After lazer came Nikki, Tosha, and then Dixie. Dixie was Lazer and Nikki's pup and the grandmother of our current champion Ch. Derraes Corinthians Thirteen AKA Cori. Cori became a champion in less than four months. She was brilliantly handled by AKC registered handler Debbie Struff. We currently have two of Cori's pups, Raegulus and Sonnie as well as a granddaughter Tobi. Round that out with Beamer and Ginger and the house is getting pretty full of boxers as well as love. Tobi is presently being handled by Debbie Struff. She is definately following in her grandmothers footsteps, or is that pawprints? Hopefully Tobi's Mother, Sonnie, will be returning to the show ring soon.
